Ingredients

1lb ground turkey
1/2-1lb pork sausage (optional) use to add flavor and spice
2-3 cups whole wheat rotini pasta (spiral)
1 15 oz canned unsalted tomatoes (diced)
1 15 oz canned unsalted tomato sauce
1 4 oz canned tomato sauce (if needed)
1 tbsp sea salt
1 tbsp pepper
1-2 tbsp oregano
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp oinion powder
1/2 medium onion diced
3 garlic cloves diced
2-3 cups water
Directions
Brown meat in skillet, add seasonins, onions and garlic cloves add tomato sauce and diced tomatoes as well as water. Let simmer covered on low for about 20 minutes, once you have let simmer add pasta and let cook for about 20 more minutes or until pasta is soft. May take a little longer because you are using whole wheat pasta. This is a great meal for pot lucks. Add ins: corn, okra or any vegies you prefer. You can also use the meatless ground in place of the ground meat.
