This can be used as a side dish or vegetarian meal just adjust the portion size to fit.
My family loves this as a side dish to a roast dinner. The top gets a crunchy cheesy brown crust that is absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

    6 cups pf broccoli florets (1 bunch) steamed crisp tender
    1 small onion chopped
    2 minced garlic cloves
    3Tlbsp. butter or margarine, divided
    1 15.5 oz. can white northern beans, rinsed and drained
    1tsp oregano
    .5 tsp. salt- pepper to taste
    3 Tlbsp.dry bread crumbs
    1 jar 4 oz. diced pimento, drained
    2 cups shredded cheddar cheese( I used 2%)

Directions

Saute onion and garlic in 1 T. butter.
Spread in a sprayed 11x7x2" baking dish.
Place broccoli over mixture and top with beans and pimento.
Sprinkle with oregano,salt and a pinch of pepper.
cover with cheddar cheese then bread crumbs melt remaining butter and pour over top.
Bake uncovered 20-30 min. at 350. Till heated through.
