Ingredients

    1 pound 90% ground sirloin
1 can reduced sodium black beans
1 can reduced sodium kidney beans
    Carroll Shelby's chili kit
    2 cans diced tomatoes
    1 cup chopped onions
    1 cup chopped bell pepper
Add more chili powder, cumin, and red pepper (cayenne)
    Add +/- 2 cups water

Directions

Cook ground beef and rinse in hot or boiling water to remove excess fat. Add raw vegetables and cook with meat and salt until almost done. Add canned beans and tomatoes and the chili kit, but not the masa flour until the last 10 minutes. The chili will stick to the pan if you add this too early.

Let simmer for at least an hour. Serve with fresh chopped tomatoes, onions, jalapenos and cheese. Makes approximately 12 servings (1 cup each).
