This chili recipe is super easy to make! You can eat it right away or make it a day ahead to give it a chance to thicken. This chili recipe is super easy to make! You can eat it right away or make it a day ahead to give it a chance to thicken.

Ingredients

    1 lb. ground meat 93% lean
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. green bell pepper, chopped
    1 16 oz. can tomatoes
    1 15 oz. can tomato soup
    1/2 c. ketchup
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    1 16 oz. can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
    1 16 oz. can of pinto beans, rinsed and drained

Directions

In a large pot, saute meat, onion, green bell pepper until meat is cooked thoroughly. Drain excess fat. Add remaining ingredient and simmer for 1 hour, covered. Stir occasionally.
Serves 10-12 (about 2 1/2 qts.)
*You can eat it as a soup, over baked tortilla chips topped with low fat shredded cheese, spoon on top of a baked potato with a dollop of low fat sour cream.
