Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    *Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean, 16 oz
    Cabbage, fresh, 1 head, large (about 7" dia), shredded or chopped
    Onions, raw, 1 large , diced
    *Brown Rice, long grain, 1 cup
    Tomato Soup, 1 can (10.75 oz)
    Canned Tomatoes, 2 cup
    Water, tap, 16 fl oz
    Celery seed, 1 tbsp
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Oregano, ground, 1 tsp
    Basil, 1 tbsp
    Garlic, 2 cloves -finely diced
    Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tsp

Directions

Brown ground turkey, add garlic and onion and cook until onion sweats. Add all other ingredients except the cabbage and stir well.

Spray large casserole dish w/cooking spray, combine meatsauce and cabbage. Cover & cook in 350 degree oven about 1-1/2 hours, until rice is cooked.

    I have made this twice already and it's awesome. Even the NON veggie eaters in my house decide they might like to try a piece....tastes even better the next day. I add some hot red pepper to give it a little kick and some celery for some extra crunch with out adding calories. - 9/11/07
