Ingredients

    Granulated Sugar, 1.5 cup
    1 Tbsp. Flour, white
    1 Tbsp. Lemon Zest
    Egg, fresh, 4 large
    *Buttermilk, 1 cup
    Butter, unsalted, 1 cup
    1 Pie Crust Shell

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl combine the sugar, flour and lemon zest. Whisk in the eggs one at a time. Stir in the buttermilk and melted butter. Pour the mixture into the pie shell and bake about 25 minutes, turn down oven to 300 degrees and bake another 30 minutes.

Remove from oven and cool at room temperature. Slice the pie into individual servings. Garnish with whipped cream and mint (optional).
