Introduction

These are not healthy food but a tradition at Christmas. by reducing the amount of sugar and making the balls smaller, you get a treat that is a little less calories that mom's original recipe. Number of Servings: 80

Ingredients

    1 1/2 c peanut butter
    1 c butter, sofened
    1/2 t vanilla extract
    4 c confectioners's sugar
    1 pkg. chocolat candy coating

Directions

Mix together first 4 ingredients. Roll into 1 in balls place on waxed paper lined cookie sheet.
Press toothpick into the top of each ball. Chill in freezer until firm. (30 min.)
Melt chocolat coating in crock pot double boiler on low.
Dip peanut butter balls in cocolate holding toothpick. leave a small portion of beanut butter showing at the top to make them look like buckeyes. put bock on the cookie sheet and refrigerate.
Makes 80 small balls. Serving size is 1 buckeye.
