Ingredients

    1 cup butter
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 tsp vanilla extract
    2 cups flour
    1 tablespoon water
    2 cups powdered sugar
red and green colored sugar (optional)

Directions

PLEASE NOTE THE COOKING TIME IS PER COOKIE SHEET, SO TOTAL TIME DEPENDS ON HOW MANY COOKIE SHEETS YOUR RECIPE YIELDS.

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and water and mix well. Gradually add flour and mix well. Add nuts and fold in to distribute nuts well. Form into small rolls about two inches long and as fat as your ring finger. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 for 15 to 18 minutes or until the bottoms of the cookies are golden brown, but not dark. Cool. Roll in confectioners sugar, to which you can add red and green colored sugars for the holidays. Enjoy!
