Ingredients
-
.75 cup butter
.5 cup sugar
1.5 cup all purpose flour
.5 cup cocoa (unsweetened)
1 egg
1 T water
1 t vanilla
Directions
Cream the butter and sugar, then add the egg, vanilla and water. Beat until combined. Add the flour and cocoa.
Make a cylinder of dough on a sheet of waxed paper approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. Wrap the waxed paper tightly around the dough and chill. (I taped it shut.)
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Using a sharp knife, slice the cookie dough into very thin rounds - think Oreo or those chocolate wafer thinness. Place on parchment or a Silpat and bake for 16 minutes. Allow to cool for a moment or two before removing.
Makes 100 thin crunchy cookies.
