Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
*Almonds, dry roasted, .5 cup whole kernels (remove)
Chickpeas (garbanzo beans), cooked, .5 cup (remove)
Olive Oil, .33 cup (remove)
Turmeric, ground, 2 tsp (remove)
*Cumin seed, 2 tsp (remove)
Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp (remove)
Pepper, red or cayenne, 1 tsp (remove)
Salt, .5 tbsp (remove)
Carrots, raw, 0.75 cup, chopped (remove)
Peas, frozen, 0.75 cup (remove)
Directions
Boil water, remove from heat, and add cous cous. Let sit in covered pan to cook. Fluff with fork.
Sautee onions and carrots in oil 7 minutes. Add spices, chickpeas, almonds, and peas, and cook another 3 minutes. Combine cous cous and curried vegetables.
