    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup packed brown sugar
    1/4 cup sugar
    1 egg
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    3/4 cup flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 salt
    1 1/2 cups oatmeal
    1/2 cup raisins


Heat oven to 350. Beat butter and sugars together. Add in and beat egg and vanilla. Mix in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix well. Stir in oats and raisins. Bake 10-12 minutes.
Makes 2 dozen small cookies

  • I used pumpkin pie spice and whole wheat flour and they came out excellent!

    Very soft and chewy, but a bit average.

  • I was really excited about finding an oatmeal raisin cookie recipe. I substituted whole wheat flour for regular and excluded the 1/4 salt. With this said and done it came out just alright. But it might be me, maybe friends will think differently... - 2/25/08
