Introduction

I do not enjoy fish usually, but I've come to enjoy Imitation Krab as an affordable substitute. I do not enjoy fish usually, but I've come to enjoy Imitation Krab as an affordable substitute.

Ingredients

    1/2 pound Imitation Alaskan King Crab,
    1 16 oz package of Whole Wheat Spaghetti
    1 jar of *Bertolli Alfredo Sauce
    3 cloves of Garlic
    1 tbsp ground Oregano
    2 tbsp ground Basil
    1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    .5 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions

Directions

Serves 8

1. begin heating water in a 4 qt pan

2. finely chop the onion and garlic

3. Place 1 tbsp of Oil in bottom of a skillet over medium heat add onion and simmer until soft, stirring occasionally

4. chop Krab meat until fine

5. Add garlic and Krab to onions mixing thoroughly

6. Place noodles into hot water and let cook for 10 minutes or until 'al dente'

7. Warm Alfredo sauce in sauce pan (larger than necessary) over medium heat.

8. When noodles are soft, drain in a colander and cool with water.

9. Place noodles back in pan or serving dish and stir in 1 tbsp of margarine to prevent sticking.

10. Once alfredo sauce has warmed stir in Krab mix.

11. Serve sauce over noodles and enjoy.

Suggested modifications are mushrooms and veggies cooked with the Krab. You may also substitute Krab with shrimp or scallops.
