Introduction

After I roast a turkey, I take the leftover bones and meat and cook them in water to make a broth. After taking all meat from the bones and cutting it up, I then return it to the broth, defat the broth and freeze it. Ingredients

    2 cups cooked turkey meat - cut up
    12 cups broth
    1 cups pearl barley
    1 - 75 gram package of dried mixed soup vegetables - mine are imported from The Netherlands
    4 chicken buoillon cubes
    3 bay leaves - whole

Directions

Put all ingredients in large (7 Quart) crockpot and cook on low until all soft, about 8 hours.Take out bay leaves.
Makes 12 servings.
