Introduction
I didn't have jalapenos but was fixin for something spicy, but not too fatty. So I thought up these "poppers." I had these mini bell peppers that I found. They are small peppers that LOOK like jalapenos, but they are sweet. I didn't have jalapenos but was fixin for something spicy, but not too fatty. So I thought up these "poppers." Ingredients
-
3 Mini Bell peppers
2 TBSP Cream Cheese, 1/3 Fat (or FF - I didn't have it on hand)
Sriracha Hot Sauce (found in most ethnic/Japanese parts of grocery stores) -- TO TASTE
Polly-O Mozzarella/Jalapeno String Cheese - 1 Stick, shredded.
Directions
Mix together Cream Cheese, mozz cheese, and hot sauce. Spoon some into each pepper. Bake at 350 degrees until preferred doneness; but keep it rather crunchy so it holds better.
I said 15, but mine cooked for about 8 minutes and were hot, but not fully cooked and DELICIOUS!!!
This is for ONE SERVING and is a great, quick snacky snack.
So just multiply for however many servings you need.
As an afterthought, I think next time I'm going to add some chopped cooked chicken to the mix for something a little heartier.
