Introduction

A modified version of my family's favorite meal. A modified version of my family's favorite meal.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    1 lb ground turkey (lean)
    1 lb turkey sausage
    1 egg
    1/4 cup milk (1%)
    1 cup plain bread crumbs
    1/4 cup grated parmesean cheese
    1/2 cup finely diced red pepper
    1/2 cup finely grated carrots
    1 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp oregano
    1/2 tsp basil

Directions

Preheat oven to 375.

In a large mixing bowl incorporate all ingredients until they hold a ball. Form into a loaf shape. Place on a greased broiling pan and cover loosely with aluminum foil. Bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes or until internal temp reaches 165.

*If you top with ketchup or BBQ sauce add to your calculations - not included in recipes.

*Makes 8 hearty servings - about 3/4 inch slices.
