Ingredients

    8 unpeeled Apples, cored & chopped coarsely
    1C Apple Cider
    1C Sugar
    1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    1/8 tsp Cloves, ground

Directions

Microwave apples and cider covered 8-12 minutes, or until done. Put in blender and blend well until smooth. Add sugar and spices. Microwave another 8-12 minutes or until thickness desired. Store in refrigerator.

Makes 64 (1 tbsp serving)

    Thank you for the recipe...I'm going to make pear butter (since it's what I have on hand) and use Splenda to sweeten....can't wait!!!! Will try on my whole wheat fruit quick bread that I made...will do the apple butter when I have apples on hand. - 2/22/11
