Introduction

These cookies are deliciously sweet with just the right amount of peanut butter and maple flavor. They freeze very well! These cookies are deliciously sweet with just the right amount of peanut butter and maple flavor. They freeze very well!
Number of Servings: 13

Ingredients

    1/2 cup whole wheat flour
    1/4 cup ground flax seed
    1/2 cup oats
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 TSP baking powder
    1/2 TSP baking soda
    1/4 TSP salt
    1 TSP vanilla extract
    2 TBS canola oil
    1 TBS unsweetened applesauce
    1/4 cup maple syrup
    1/4 cup organic creamy peanut butter
    coarse organic cane sugar to sprinkle on top of each cookie

Directions

Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees. Mix all ingredients together and then drop by rounded TBS onto a greased cookie sheet. Smash down with a fork and sprinkle each cookie with sugar. You may find you need to mold the edges a little.

Bake 10-12 minutes and cool for 15 minutes before serving. I found I got 13 cookies out of this but if you make them smaller you could probably get 2 dozen.
