Ingredients
-
1/2 cup of peanut butter
1/4 cup of water
2 Tbsp. of cinnamon
1 tbsp of vanilla extract
1 tbsp of flax seed
4 cups of Old fashion Oats - Not Quick Oats
1/4 cup of chocolate chips (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 375
In sauce pan add peanut butter and water. Stir until melted. Turn off heat.
Add vanilla and cinnamon and stir till combined. Add Oats and mix until well combined.
Add parchment paper to baking sheet.
Add Granola mixture to baking sheet and shape into a rectangle, you may need to use your hands. Place in oven and bake for 12 - 15 minutes until lightly golden. The longer it cooks the crisper it will be.
Take out of oven and add chocolate chips. I press them down into the mixture. Once cooled for a few minutes, cut into pieces. Store in an air tight container.
You can omit the chips and add nuts, dried fruit ect...
Note: If you want them sweet, add 1/2 cup of brown sugar to the water and peanut butter mixture.
Serving Size: 12 decent size bars
Number of Servings: 12
