Introduction

This is a recipe a friend gave me. It is essentially pepperoni bread. It's delicious! It's great as an appetizer or a main course. I always serve it with Ragu Pizza Sauce (30 calories for 1/4 c.) Ingredients

    - 1 Rhodes Frozen Bread Dough, Loaf
    - 1/4 c. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    - 2 tbs. Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese
    - 1/2 tsp. Oregano, dried
    - 1/2 tsp. Basil, dried
    - 2 cloves Garlic, minced
    - 1/2 small Red Onion, minced
    - 1 Handful Turkey Pepperoni (approx. 1 serving or 15 slices)
    - 2 c. Mozzarella Cheese, Part Skim

    - Ragu Pizza Sauce for dipping (calories not included)

Directions

Allow frozen bread loaf to rise according to package directions.

Preheat oven to 350F.

Flour a large surface of your counter and roll out bread dough into a rectangle. Be careful not to roll it too thin, you want it approx. 1/8 - 1/4 of inch thick.

Combine olive oil, parmesan cheese, orgeano, basil, garlic, and onion in a small bowl.

Use a basting brush to apply oil mixture evenly to your rectangle of dough.

Place pepperoni slices on top of oil mixture spacing them evenly apart.

Next, spread all cheese evenly over the layer of pepperonis.

Roll up dough and pinch open ends closed as you go.

Next, spray a loaf pan with non stick cooking spray and place your stromboli loaf inside, seam down facing the bottom of the pan.

If there is any remaining oil mixture, spread over top of stromboli loaf.

Bake at 350F for approximately 35-45 minutes.

Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Cut into 8 slices and serve with warmed Ragu pizza sauce for dipping.

**NOTE: Pizza sauce is not included in the calorie count.
