Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    8 cups: Water
    1 lb.: Yellow Split Peas
    1 1/2 c.: Carrots, diced
    1/2 c.: Onions, chopped
    1/2 c.: Celery, chopped
    6 oz.: Canadian Bacon, diced
    1 tsp.: Salt
    1 tsp.: Dried Thyme Leaves
    1/4 tsp.: Dried Rosemary Leaves, crushed
    1/4 tsp.: Black Pepper

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients in 3 1/2 to 6-quart slow cooker.

2. Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours or until peas and vegetables are tender.

3. Place 2 cups of the soup in blender or food processor. Cover and blend on medium speed until smooth; pour into a bowl. Repeat with 2 more cups of soup. Stir all blended soup into soup in slow cooker.

Serving Size: 8, 1 1/2 cup servings
