Introduction

This is a yummy frozen treat. It tastes and feels as if you are eating an ice cream bar. This is a yummy frozen treat. It tastes and feels as if you are eating an ice cream bar.
Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 Tablespoon of granulated sugar
12 oz Chocolate-Peanut Butter Whey Protein (Body Fortress)
    2 sticks of butter unsalted
    12oz cream cheese

Directions

Microwawe in a large bowl 2 sticks (16 oz) of butter (real butter) and 12 oz of cream cheese for 1 minute. Take out, stir and microwave again for 30 seconds. Let it stand for a few minutes until butter is melted. You can microwave for another 30 seconds, but do not overcook because the cream cheese should look like curd. Add the Peanut Butter Protein Powder (I use Body Fortress Whey Protein from Walmart) and 1 tablespoon of sugar into the mixture and stir until it gets a smooth-syrup-like consistency. Pour mixture into a 9X 9 inch pan and freeze until hard. Cut and enjoy. You can keep it in the refrigerator or freezer.

Serving Size: makes 16 2.25 inch pieces.

I am on a ketogenic diet (high fat, low carb, moderate protein) and the nutrient contents are wonderful. As long as I keep an eye on the calories this sounds excellent :)) Most "low carb" recipes on here are way too high in carbs, so Thank You! What a treat :) - 11/9/13

Good protein in these but the calorie and fat content is high - may as well eat ice cream if craving it. - 6/2/11

You are right, but I am on the Atkins Diet and it is a low-carb, high protein diet. On Atkins you do not count calories and do not count fat. I've lost 10 punds in 13 days. Ice cream carb count is always high and this is a yummy alternative. Thanks for your comment!
