Introduction

A fairly easy homemade dark chocolate pudding that both adults and kids will love. Great mixed with a few mini-marshmallows and topped with graham-cracker chunks for a smore like treat! Ingredients

    ½ cup sugar
    2 tbsp cornstarch
    ¼ tsp salt
    1 cup skim milk
    1 cup whole milk or light cream
    2 oz unsweetened chocolate, chopped.
    1 beaten egg
    1 ½ tsp vanilla

Directions

In a heavy medium saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
Stir in milk and unsweetened chocolate.
Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly; continue cooking and stirring frequently another two minutes. Remove from heat.
Very gradually, stir about 1 cup of the hot mixture into beaten egg.
Return all to mixture in pan.
Cook and stir an additional two minutes. Remove from heat.
Stir in vanilla.
Pour into a bowl and cover the surface with plastic.
Chill without stirring.
