Introduction

This is one of the recipes I am using in my quick start "juice" fast... I got the idea from the documentary, "Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead". I'll be consuming 5 to 6 "juices" along with 8 glasses of water a day for the next 5 or so days. It's made using a Juice Extractor... save the pulp to use in other recipes, add some back to your juice or compost it. Nutritional info will vary, for example, fiber listed in nutritional info will apply only if you add pulp back to your juice, otherwise only soluble fiber will apply, and some nutrition will remain with pulp, but approx. 95% of vitamins, minerals and nutrients will remain with juice. This recipe is good for ANY time, not just for juice fasting, and it's a great way to add fruit and veggie to your diet. :) This is one of the recipes I am using in my quick start "juice" fast... Ingredients

    2 oranges, peeled
    1 peach, pitted
    1 nectarine, pitted
    2 plums, pitted
    1 cup fresh pineapple
    1 wedge lemon
    6 medium carrots
    2 small apples

Directions

Wash, peel and pit your fruits and carrots.

You CAN juice the oranges with the peel, but it will make the juice bitter. Make sure you remove all the pits from your fruit... you don't want to put them i your juicer!

Cut all your fruit and veggies into pieces your juicer can handle, and juice according to your machines instructions.

You will end up with about a liter of delicious juice... enough for 2 juicing breakfasts or 4 smaller servings to go along with your meal. Nutritional info is for 2 servings, and will vary due to discarding all the pulp, and values stated are for the whole fruits and veggies.

Enjoy!
