Introduction

This is my basic fresh salsa recipe. Nothing fancy, I just throw everything together. It is addicting! This is my basic fresh salsa recipe. Nothing fancy, I just throw everything together. It is addicting!

Ingredients

    (5) large red tomatoes
    (1) green bell pepper
    (1) red bell pepper
(.5) jalapeno pepper, fresh (or 2 oz canned)
    (1) 4 oz can diced green chiles
    (1) small bunch cilantro (about 10 sprigs)
(.5) onion - white or red
    (3) cloves of garlic, fresh (or 3 tsp jarred)
the juice of half a lime
    dash of salt

Directions

Cut larger veggies into chunks. Throw all ingredients into a cuisinart and pulse until desired chunkiness. You may need to do this in batches. Mix well at the end.

This is an approximate recipe. It varies with each batch depending on what is ripe from my garden. You can make it as mild or as hot as you like. Remember to wear gloves when cutting a fresh jalapeno - otherwise your fingers may sting!
