Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1/2 cup almonds, raw
    6 cups water
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
    1 or 2 packet Splenda (or other sweetener of choice) - optional

Directions

Put the almonds to soak in water for about 8 hours ( I leave mine overnight).
Drain the almonds and blend with water, salt, vannilla and sweetener until smooth.
Strain with a fine mash strainer or a cheese cloth to extract all the liquid from the almond.
Enjoy!
*You will end up with an almond paste that can be put in the fridge and used in oatmeal, cookies, muffins...

Serving Size: makes 6 - 1 cup servings
