Introduction

Great Lowfat Sausage! Great Lowfat Sausage!
Number of Servings: 5

Ingredients

16-20oz package of 99% FF Ground Turkey (I used ShadyBrook Farms)
    2 tbsp minced red onion
    3 tsp minced fresh garlic
    1 tsp dried thyme
    1/2 tsp ground sage
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper or any dried hot pepper crushed
1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
    1/4 tsp salt

Directions

Combine turkey and spices in a medium-large bowl. Use hands to mix throughly until spices are consistent throughout. Shape into 5 (4 ounces each) balls. Flatten into patty form. If you arent cooking them immediately, freeze in a single layer or make a stack with wax paper in between. To cook - place patties in a non-stick skillet sprayed with Pam and cook over medium heat until lightly browned on both sides and no longer pink inside about 2-3 minutes per side.

Great recipe! Closest seasonings to store bought breakfast sausage, but TONS less fat-thanks!!! I don't like very spicy foods, so I used a dash of cayenne pepper. Patties are very big-will probably make 10 patties next time with a serving size of 2 patties. - 7/16/10
