Ingredients

    1/2 pound suet
    2 large onions chopped
    1 large garlic bud minced
    5 tbs flour
    1/4 cup chili powder
    1 tsp cumin
    3 pounds deer meart cubbed or ground
    1/2 tsp oregano
    1 bay leaf
    3 8 oz cans tomato paste
    2 cups canned tomatoes
    1 tsp pepper
    6 chili peppers chopped

Directions

Cook suet in skillet, remove cracklins, add onions and garlic, cook until tender.

In a paper bag mix flour, chili powder and cumin, add meat and shake until coated, add to the onion mixture in skillet and brown. Add other ingredients and simmer four or five hours, stir and add hot water along as needed.
