Introduction

This is a heaping single serving of french onion soup that can be easily divided into two servings. The nutritional information is for one serving. Simple and easy to prepare. Far superior to canned versions. Great for the winter months....I usually sprinkle parmesean or add a slice of reduced fat provolone on top. Ingredients

    1 large onion (any variety)
    1 beef bouillion cube
    1 cup water
    1/2 tbsp I can't believe it's not butter
    pepper to taste

Tips

To reduce sodium cut boullion cube in half. Enjoy!


Directions

Thinly slice onion then saute in a large pot with 1/2 tbsp I can't believe it's not butter. After onions have cooked down add 1 cup of water, allow to reach a boil and add beef boullion cube. Allow to simmer and cook for 15 minutes. Add pepper for taste.
