Food Storage - Vegetable Beef Soup
Full of 14 vegetables, this is my favorite food storage recipe. It's perfect for emergencies, camping or anytime you want a meal healthy 'just-add-water' meal. Freeze dried foods can last for 10+ more years on the shelf. I normally follow sales to pick up the other freeze dried ingredients from North Bay Trading Co., Honeyville Grain or Emergency Essentials. I have found their products to be high quality, and they offer a selection of organic foods.
Of course, you can also make this with fresh ingredients, or a mix of the two (i.e., use home cooked beef stock instead of stock power)
This last batch I use Beef Broth instead of water to heat it up with. It was great.
