A healthier version of the Chinese Vegetable Low Mein Noodles

Number of Servings: 8


    2 cups of chopped cabbage (Green)
    1 large onion quartered and then quartered again
    1 cup of chopped carrots
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1/2 of 16 oz box of spaghetti
    3/4 cup of Teriyaki Marinade or cooking sauce
    1/4 tsp of Ginger
    Salt to taste
    1 tbsp Olive Oil
    1/2 cup water


I served this with Spark people Sesame chicken recipe. My husband and kids loved it. Make sure you use a non stick pan or pot when making this dish. I also added just a dash of hot pepper flakes to mine.


Boil spaghetti while you prep the vegetables. Drain the spaghetti and pour olive oil in the bottom. Add carrots and onion. Stir Sprinkle garlic powder and ginger stir. When onions start to soften, add cabbage and 1/2 cup of water. Cover and let steam for 1-2 min. Then add cooked spaghetti and teriyaki marinade. Continue to stir until most liquid has dissolved. Add salt to taste.
