Ingredients

    1.5 lbs round steak cubed
    2 tsp garlic minced
    1 small onion sliced
    2 Tbs olive oil
    1 cup water
    1/2 cup red wine
    1 can (10.75 Oz) Cream of Mushroom soup
    1 can (4.75 ounces) mushrooms
    1 packet Beefy Onion Soup mix
    8 oz Egg Noodles

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Brown beef cubes in 2 Tbs olive oil.

Remove from pan. Add onions and garlic and saute until onions are transulescent.

Add Water, Wine, Cream of mushroom soup, Beef Onion soup mix, and Mushrooms to skillet. Bring to a boil and reduce for about 5 minutes.

In a 13x9 inch casserole dish, combine the gravy mixture and beef tips. Turn to coat well.
Bake in a preheated oven for 1 hour.
While beef tips are baking, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Serve beef tips and sauce over noodles.

Makes approximately 8 1-cup servings.

Can also be done in a crockpot. After you have reduced the gravy mix all the ingredients in a crockpot and set on low for 6 hours.

    I made this was very good, I did substitute the wine for water and I only had regular onion soup mix so I added 3 beef bouillon cubes. - 1/25/08

    Very Good
    This was very good. My husband loved it. Easy to make and had great taste. I didn't have any wine so I used beef broth instead. Will definately make again! - 1/14/08
