Ingredients

    1tbsp butter
    1 tbsp soft brown sugar
    1 tsp ground ginger
    2 pears, peeled and thickly sliced
    175g all-purpose flour
    175g caster sugar
    1 tsp ground ginger
    85g soft butter
    3 eggs

Tips

Serve with natural or frozen yogurt.


Directions

Heat oven to 190 celsius. Melt the butter in the bottom of a 20 cm cake tin while oven heats. Mix 1 tsp ginger, with sugar into the butter and then place the pear slices in the bottom of the cake pan too. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour into the cake tin. Cool for a moment in the pan before turning on to a wire rack to cool completely.
