Introduction

1/4 C serving - 70 calories - 1/2 legume - 1/4 category #1 Veggie 1/4 C serving - 70 calories - 1/2 legume - 1/4 category #1 Veggie

Ingredients

    1 can (15oz) black beans
    1 tsp chili powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    1/4 tsp ground cumin
    2 drops hot pepper sauce
    3/4 C minced onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 can (4oz) diced green chili drained

Directions

Drain beans, reserving 2 T liquid. Combine beans, bean liquid, and the next 5 ingredients in a blender or food processor. Process until smooth. Transfer to a bowl. Saute onions & garlic. Cover until soft. Uncover until slightly brown. Add green chili & cook 3 minutes more. Add to bean mixture & still well.

Serve hot or cold.

Serve with:
Celery
Cucumbers
Red/Green peppers
