Introduction
My son and I love this in the mornings. The oats take a long time to cook, so I make a big batch and freeze portions of it for later in the week. My son and I love this in the mornings. Ingredients

4 cups water
1 cup steel cut oats
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup dried cranberries
2-3 Tbsp Maple syrup
Milk (optional)
Directions
1) Boil water in a saucepan
2) Once water is boiling add oats, raisins and dried cranberries.
3) Simmer uncovered for about 25 minutes (depending on desired consistency), stirring occasionally to keep bottom from burning.
4) Remove from heat and stir in Maple syrup.
Serve or divide into freezer bags and freeze for later.
*To reheat - remove from bag and place in a microwave safe bowl. Heat on high for about 2 1/2 minutes.
*If desired add a little milk when serving.
