Ingredients
-
1- 20 oz package Ground Turkey
(I used Foster Farms)
1- 16 oz package Lean Ground beef
(I used 93%lean)
2- Egg Whites
1/2 cup Dry Oatmeal (quick cooking)
1/2 cup Minced Onion or 2 Tbs Dried Onion
1/2 cup Any one of the following vegetables to your taste: Green Pepper (diced), Carrots (grated), Zuccinni (grated, no seeds),
1/2 cup Water
2 Tbs Parsely Flakes (optional)
1 - 2 Tbs any one of the following based on your preference: Sage, Tyme, Basil, Oregano, Dill or Rosemary. (I used a little Rosemary and a little Tyme)
2 Tbs Catsup (your favorite, I like Heinz)
2 Tbs Catsup for topping
Directions
Place all ingredients, except the catsup for the topping, in a mixing bowl and mix well with your hands. I have tried using all kinds of mixing tools and nothing seems to work as good as mushing the mixture in your hands.
Spray a glass or metal baking pan with cooking spray.
Form mini loaves, 4 oz each, yes I measured them, and place them in the pan. Coat the tops of the mini loaves with 2 Tbs Catsup.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 45 min.
Makes 12 4oz individual serving loaves at about 130 calories each.
Great for lunch, dinner or sandwiches.
