    1/2 medium onion chopped
    1 medium stalk of celery chopped
    9 medium potatoes peeled and cubed
    8 c water
    2 tbl ham soup base (or chicken)
    5 c ham cubed


In a dutch oven mix onion, celery, potatoes, water adn soup base. Bring to a boil on high. Reduce heat to low and cook covered 20 minutes. Add the ham and cook another 20-30 minutes until potatoes are tender. Can also be made in a crock pot.

Serving Size: Makes 8 servings 2 cups each
