Introduction
You can use rye, buckwheat or cornmeal instead of whole wheat flour. You can use rye, buckwheat or cornmeal instead of whole wheat flour.Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients

1 1/4 c whole wheat flour
1/2 t salt
2 T olive or canola oil
4 T. water, add more as needed
1 t. seasoning such as dried herbs, chili powder, garlic or onion powder etc; (optional)
Directions
1.Using a food processor to mix 1 cup of the flour, 1/2 t. salt & oil.
2. Add 3 T water and mix well. Gradually add more water, mixing after each addition, until mixture forms a compact ball. If it seems to sticky to handle, add more flour.
3. Sprinkle your work surface with some of the remaining flour then press and roll the dough to about 1/8 th inch thickness. If the dough is too dry to roll out return it to the food processor and add a little more water.
4. Place the rolled out dough on a baking sheet dusted with a little flour.
5. Bake for 10-15 min. at 400 or until light brown.
6. Cool and break into pieces.
Makes about a pound of crackers.
Serving Size: Makes approx. 24 crackers - 1 serving = 3 crackers
