Introduction

Ingredients

    1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
    3/4 cup white rice, steamed in 1/4 cup water
    1/2 t salt
    1/2 cup diced onion
    1 6 oz, can tomato paste
    18 oz. water
    1 tsp oregano
    1/2 red bell pepper, diced

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Brown ground beef, drain off any fat. While browning meat, steam rice. Add diced onion, salt and diced red pepper, sauté until onions are translucent. Add can of tomato paste, oregano, and 3 cans water. Add rice to meat mixture, place in casserole. Bake, covered, at 350°, for 1 hour.
