Introduction

Ingredients

    1 cup bran
    2 scoops vanilla protein powder (or plain)
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    40 drops of liquid NuNaturals (or 10-12 packets)
    4 egg whites (1/2 cup carton kind)
    2 snack packs unsweetened applesauce (or 2/3 cup)
    Zest of 1 lemon (approx 2 tsp)
    1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (approx 1 lemon)
    1/4 cup water
    1 tsp lemon extract see NOTE

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together the dry ingredients – oat bran, protein powder, baking soda, stevia, lemon zest. Add in liquid ingredients – egg whites, water, lemon juice, lemon extract, applesauce. Mix well. Pour into a sprayed 9x5 square oven proof pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes until brown around edges and toothpick comes clean. Cut into 8 squares.

Serving Size: Makes 8 bars
