- 1/2 c all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 lb bittersweet or semisweet chocolate (chopped)
- 1/4 c unsalted butter
- 1-3/4 c brown sugar (packed)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- 5 1.4 oz chocolate-covered English toffee bars
(coarsely chopped)
- 1 c walnuts (toasted & chopped)

Can be made 2 days ahead. Store airtight at room temp.)
Directions
- Combine first 3 ingredients in small bowl
- Melt chocolate & butter in double boiler, cool to warm
- Beat sugar & eggs in mixer until thick (approx 5 min)
- Beat in chocolate mixture & vanilla
- Stir in flour mixture, toffee & nuts
- Chill until firm (approx 45 min)
- Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto parchment or waxed paper lined baking sheet (spacing 2-1/2" apart) & bake in preheated 350*F oven just until tops are dry & crocked but cookies are still soft to touch (approx 15 min)
