Ingredients

    2 tbsp veg oil
    1 medium onion, sliced
    4 oz Basmati rice (uncooked, rinsed and drained)
    6 tbsp Patak's Biryani Paste
    6 oz diced chicken breast
    1 1/4 cups water
    7 oz fresh or canned tomatoes
    1 tsp fresh chopped cilantro leaf (optional)

Directions

Serves 2

1. In a pan, gently heat the oil and saute the onions until golden. Stir in Patak's Biryani Paste, add chicken and cook until lightly browned.

2. Add drained rice, tomatoes and water, mix well and cover the pan

3. Simmer on low heat for 10-12 mins until the rice is cooked and the water has evaporated. Serve garnished with chopped cilantro leaf (optional)
