Ingredients

    4 3/4 cups of flour
    2 Tbsp granulated yeast
    2 Tbsp sugar
    2 cups of warm water
    2 Tbs olive oil

Directions

This recipe makes 2 large pizza crusts 15" in diameter. 8 slices per pizza - 16 Servings in total. Cut the ingredients in half to make only one. ( I can't make only one at my house, would not be enough!!!) I use my Kitchen Aid Mixer to knead the dough but it can be done by hand too.
Cooking Instructions:
In large bowl start with 3.5 cups of the flour, add the sugar, yeast and mix. Measure two cups of warm water and add the oil. Add this to the flour mixture and mix. You will have a rather sticky mix. As you knead, if with Kitchen Aid use the hook, start adding flour until you get a dough that doesn't stick to the side of the bowl. The more you knead the better. Let it rest in same bowl for about one hour ( or until it doubles in size)covered with kitchen towel in a warm place. Once ready punch it down and cut dough in half. Flatten it to fit 2 round 15 inch pans or whichever pan you have handy. You can make it as thin or thick as preferred. Let it rest for another half hour and top with favorite topping. Ideas: Tomato sauce and veggies or ricotta cheese with garlic, sauteed vegetables, anything you like! Cook in moderate oven (350) for about 20 minutes (time varies depending on oven). Enjoy!!! It takes osme work but it is worth it.
