Ingredients

    1kg lean beef mince
    700g jar of tomato pasta sauce or passata
    2x400g tins of chopped tomatoes
    4x small beef stock cubes (where one would make up 250ml stock)
    3tsp vegetable seasoning (Vegeta)
    2tsp crushed garlic
    2lge pinches of dried mixed herbs
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 red capsicums chopped
    dried chilli flakes to taste
    2tsp cornflour (if required to thicken)

Directions

Chop onion and fry on high heat in a large saucepan with a little olive oil and the garlic.
Add capsicum and fry until thoroughly cooked.
Add mince, little by little, to brown. When browned through, switch to low heat and add remaining ingredients (except cornflour).
Simmer on low heat for at least 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Add cornflour to thicken if needed.

Serving Size: serves 12 as a spaghetti sauce or 8 if you use it for cottage pie etc
