Ingredients

    1/2 c (113g) butter
    6 oz (170g) dark chocolate
    1 c sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp real vanilla extract
    3/4 c flour
    1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp baking powder

Tips

The final product has a gooey center. If that is not wanted, simply cook the brownie a bit longer.

Directions

Preheat oven to 200°F (200°C).

Melt together the butter and chocolate in a micro-wave safe bowl, on medium-high heat. Stir every 30 seconds.

Add the sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir well to incorporate.

Add the flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder (you may have to sift the cocoa powder beforehand to get rid of any clumps). Stir to combine - but just barely!

Divide evenly between 16 paper-lined muffin tins (the papers should be about 3/4 of the way full).

Bake for 12-14 minutes. The centers should be a bit under-cooked as they will continue setting up once removed from the oven.

Serving Size: Makes 16 muffin-sized brownies.
