    garlic (1 tsp)
    navy beans (cook according to package instructions)
    ham
    carrots (raw)
    chicken/vegetable broth

Directions

simmer beans in 6 cups of water for 1 to 2 hours
saute onion and garlic in 1 tbsp of olive oil
add beans and chicken/vegetable broth
add ham, carrots, and simmer.
