    2/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
    1 Cup White Sugar
    1 Large Egg
    1/4 Cup Molasses
    2 Cups Flour
    2 tsp Baking Soda
    1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
    1 tsp Ground Ginger
    1/4 Cup White Sugar (reserved)


If you get these out of the oven right when they crack they will be softer than if you let them cook longer - cook to your preference.


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Combine Oil, 1 cup sugar and egg. Beat well. Add Molasses, Flour, Baking Soda, Cinnamon, and Ginger. Stir well to combine.

Form round balls (slightly smaller than golf balls) and roll in reserved 1/4 cup sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until tops "crack."
