This is so festive for Christmas and easy to make This is so festive for Christmas and easy to make
Number of Servings: 24


    2 egg whites, room temperature
    2/3 c granulated sugar
    1/2c mini chocolate chips
    2 candy canes, crushed
    2 drops green food coloring
    a few drops of Peppermint extract, optional.


I have used Splenda in place of the sugar with good results.


Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Beat egg whites until stiff, adding a little of the sugar at a time and the extract and food coloring, if using. When able to stand in peaks, fold in the chocolate chips and candy canes.

Drop by Tablespoons onto parchment- or foil- lined cookie sheets.

Place in oven and turn oven off. Leave overnight. They will be ready int he morning!
