Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    1 lb Beef chuck, arm pot roast
    2c Red Wine,
    2c Leeks, chopped (bulb & greens) or 1c Onion
    2c Red Ripe Tomatoes, or one can w/ liquid
    1 can of Mushrooms, canned,
    5 cloves Garlic, 5 cloves
    1 tsp Olive Oil
    1/2tsp Chili Paste
    1 tsp green peppercorns
    1 tsp Salt
    1 tsp Black Pepper
    2 tbsp Worchestire Sauce
    1 tbsp of Flour for thickening

Directions

Cut the beef into cubes about 1 1/2" square. Mash Garlic with Salt. Marinate meat with Garlic, leeks or onion, Worchestire Sauce, Chili Paste, and pepper.Heat oil in a pan and when hot, braise the beef until brown.
Transfer everything to a Crockpot or turn heat way down. Add wine and tomatoes mushrooms 1 hour before serving, mix flour in a cup with a little of the broth then add to stew to thicken.

Serving size: 1.25 cup of stew
