Ingredients

    50g lean shortcut bacon (extra fat removed), cut into small pieces
    1 onion, chopped
    1 garlic clove, minced
    1t olive oil
    1t honey
    salt, pepper, paprika to your own taste
    500g beans, ends removed and cut in half
    50ml port wine (or any other red wine)
    100 - 150ml vegetable stock

Tips

We eat it with boiled potatoes and a fried egg


Directions

Heat up pan and the oil, fry bacon pieces on medium high heat, add onions, garlic, spices and honey, continue frying and stirring.
Add the green beans, fry for another couple minutes.
Add the wine and stock lower the heat, put the lid on and let simmer for about 15min, stirring occasionally
