Ingredients

1.5 lbs lean ground beef
1 medium onion
3 garlic cloves chopped
1 can condensed tomato soup
1/2 cup ketchup
1 can dark red kidney beans
1 can black beans rinsed and drained
1 can sliced mushrooms / 1 cup fresh
1 red (or green) bell peppers chopped
3/4 cup frozen corn
2 tbsp Chili powder or to taste
couple splashes hot pepper sauce (I like jalapeno sauce)
salt and pepper to taste
vinegar if needed
Directions
In a large pot or dutch oven saute ground beef, onion and garlic until cooked through. Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Stir frequently.
Chili should be spicy and a little tart. If too sweet add 1 Tbsp vinegar or ketchup.
Makes about 10 1-cup servings
Serve with a little sour cream or a sprinkle of chedder cheese.
